menu item respects your privacy. This policy explains which data we process when you use our website and API, why we do so and what rights you have. menu item is an initiative by Digiplan ([email protected]), based in Belgium.
What data we process
- Account data: your name and email address when you create an account, plus the API tokens you generate.
- Usage data: technical logs such as IP address and API requests, to secure the service, prevent abuse and monitor limits.
- Menu data: the menus in our database come from the merchants' own public sources and contain no personal data of visitors.
Cookies and bot protection
We only use functional cookies needed to log in and secure your session. For bot protection on the registration form we use Cloudflare Turnstile; Cloudflare processes limited technical data as a processor for this. We do not place advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we process data
To manage your account and API access, to deliver and secure the service, and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
Retention period
We keep account data for as long as your account is active. We do not retain technical logs longer than needed for security and troubleshooting. If you delete your account, we erase or anonymise your personal data, except what we are legally required to keep.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, and you can object to certain processing. Send your question to [email protected]. You can also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The date at the top indicates the last change.
