Terms of Use

These terms apply to the use of menu item (the website, the app and the API), an initiative by Digiplan. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

The service

menu item makes public hospitality menus searchable as structured data (dish, category, price). We do our best to keep the data correct and up to date, but offer no guarantee of completeness or accuracy. The data is provided "as is".

Accounts

You are responsible for the confidentiality of your login details and API tokens, and for all activity under your account. Report any misuse or loss as soon as possible.

Acceptable use

You use the API within the limits of your plan and without overloading, circumventing or reverse-engineering the service. Automated bulk copying of the entire database, or use that infringes the rights of third parties, is not permitted.

Data and intellectual property

Menus remain the property of the merchants concerned; menu item structures and delivers them. Within your subscription you may use the data in your own product. You acquire no exclusive rights to the underlying data.

Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed in advance per period. Rates and features may change; we will notify you of this. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current period.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, menu item is not liable for damage arising from incorrect or incomplete data or from interruptions of the service. Decisions you make based on the data remain your responsibility.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes are submitted to the competent courts of the district where Digiplan is established.
